'Devon St' ORIGINAL Artwork Framed
Devon Street is located in Aro Valley, Wellington. This little group of houses is located just up the road from Aro Street which to this day looks like a step back in time.
Early settlers built closely packed wooden or corrugated-iron houses on small, narrow sections
Aro Valley was developed as a working-class residential area around 1860.
I stumbled across these four little houses down Devon Street one day and knew I needed them to be celebrated. The scene of houses behind is fictitious as the land behind these houses drops. However If you look to the left down the hill you will see similar houses perched on the hill as the picture portrays.
The original painting was created using Watercolour, Ink and acrylic on 300gsm CP Archers Watercolour paper.
The painting had been framed with UV glass in a plain white frame with white mat.
The finished frame size is 75 × 90cm approx.
